We have been homeschooling for three years now. Everyday I open the newspaper or look on the news sites I have at least another six or more reasons to Home school.There are stories of teachers raping students, teachers beating up other teachers/ coaches with baseball bats, students raping students, bomb scares, bullying and the list goes on. And these are just SECURITY issues.
Now they have to spend thousands of dollars to add metal detectors to our schools. And if that's not enough there are some students getting off on trying to "challenge" the school system with a lawsuit as to whether or not it is legal to make the students go through the metal detectors. Here's a thought, have two schools, one for kids that think it is "UNCONSTITUTIONAL" to have the go through the metal detectors and one for those who like the idea of being able to study without having to watch their backs. Of course we should allow the teachers to either teach from behind bullet/bomb proof windows or from a undisclosed location via web cams.
I really feel sorry for the Amish people who lost their friends and family this week. They go about their lives do the work of God not expecting any help from the outside world. Then some mentally disturbed individual goes and kills 5 children and one more in critical condition at their school house. The Amish people are way better people than I. They have already forgiven him. Man, talk about a strong faith in God.
